Group Commerce @ CES – Introduction!

09 Jan. 2012

This week, our fearless marketing commando Joshua Neckes (me!) will be loose in Las Vegas, meeting with industry folks and spreading the gospel of social commerce. This is one in a series of posts about various goings-on. Connect with him @groupcommerce if you want to meet up!

Welcome to our CES coverage! Some of the more exciting developments in the world of social commerce are going to be at the intersection of content and devices, which is one of the big reasons that we’re here. As publishers (and yes, we’re counting big B2Cs like Groupon and LivingSocial as publishers!) look for new and different ways to push their offers to consumers, the “how” is as important as the “what”.

Additionally, as publishers look to uncover additional incremental revenue streams (read: $$), we’re seeing growth in the diversity of e-commerce programs that they’re willing to support. We’ll be meeting with a number of publishers – from the traditional to the progressive – over the course of this week, and we’re looking forward to the conversations.

Drop us a line if you’re in town @groupcommerce, and we’ll be more than happy to meet up with you!
